    Newfield School is an impressive, well-resourced special school situated in Blackburn, Lancashire providing high quality specialist education, care and therapy for children and young people aged 2 - 19 years with a wide range of learning difficulties including autism, PMLD, SLD, complex medical needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

    In Summer 2018, under the Leadership and Management of Newfield, we will be opening a new building to expand our autism provision.

    This post will provide an excellent opportunity for teachers interested in working in our outstanding school and offer exciting opportunities for professional development and personal growth.

    We are looking for a teacher to work in potentially any area of the school. However initially the post would be based in our NAS Accredited autism spectrum provision

    We are also looking for a teacher to work in our NAS Accredited autism spectrum provision.

    We welcome applications from teachers who are creative, passionate and motivated to deliver high standards in education to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated school, starting as soon as possible.

    In this period of growth we are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Education Health Care Assistants to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting in September 2018.

    Under the direction of teachers and senior staff, you will provide support to individuals and groups of children to access outcomes as outlined in each individual’s Education Health Care Plan.

    You will support pupils education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed plans, promote effective communication for all pupils using a range of agreed strategies e.g.: Makaton, PECS, communication aides etc. and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

    Whilst we particularly welcome applicants with experience of working with children and young people, it is more important that you have a child centred approach in working with our very special children as a full programme of training and development will be provided.

    We have a range of working patterns available, all working 39 weeks per year during term time including 5 annual professional development full days:

    Hours per week Working Pattern Actual salary range based on working part time during term time

    32.5 Hours - 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day £12,797 to £13,086

    11.5 Hours minimum - 11:30am to 1:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 11:30am to 3pm on Wednesdays However please note that these are the minimum contractual hours and there may be an opportunity for additional hours for those who want to work them £4,528 to £4,814

    You will also be required to work until 5 pm on six occasions per year in order to undertake training and meet with your class team (these dates will be planned in advance and you will have plenty of notice).

    In this period of growth we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed administrator to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting September 2018.

    37 hours per week - term time only

    22 hours per week (3 Days)- term time only

    £17,007 to £17,681 salary range pro rata

    £8.82 to £9.16 per hour

    You will provide a general administration support for a busy school business services team and will help us to provide a first class school reception service, ensuring our visitors are greeted in a friendly and professional manner.

    The role will be varied and fast paced – you might be covering our school reception one minute and helping to arrange an internal training course the next.

    This role is ideal for a highly organised ‘people’ person who likes variety, multi-tasking and enjoys going the extra mile to help others and delivering a great administrative service.

    Our staff often need bilingual support in order to communicate with parents and visitors for whom English is an additional language so the ability to speak fluently in Urdu, Punjabi or Gujarati would be an advantage but not essential.

    We have two working patterns available, both working 39 weeks per year during term time including 5 annual professional development days. Details of the working patterns are provided below, although please note that on occasion there may be a need to work flexibly around these times in accordance with the needs of the school:

    37 Hours - 08:00am to 4:00pm Monday, Tuesday. 08:30am to 3:30pm Friday

    £14,794 to £15,726 actual salary range based on working this pattern term time only

    22 Hours - 08:00am to 4:00pm Wednesday & Thursday. 08:30am to 3:30pm Friday

    £8,796 to £9,351 actual salary range based on working this pattern term time only
