Meet Key Staff Members
Here are details of key staff members.
Geoff Fitzpatrick - Head Teacher
Geoff is the head teacher of the school and has overall responsibility for its leadership and management. Geoff is the school’s Designated Senior Lead for Safeguarding (Child Protection) and as such is responsible for the safety and well-being of the children on a day to day basis. He also directly liaises with the Governing Body and represents the school on a number of Local Authority and National Bodies.
Vicki Clements - Deputy for Education and Standards
Vicki is the deputy head teacher across the whole school who is responsible for teaching, learning and curriculum development.
She also has a whole school responsibility for Autism and Communication. She is the pastoral lead for staff, currently managing the Autism and 2-13 departments in school alongside the relevant Assistant Heads.
Jenny Riley - Deputy for Pastoral and Well-being
Jenny is the deputy head teacher for pupils across the school with responsibility for pupil health and well-being, parental liaison and liaison with healthcare, social care and therapy colleagues. Jenny coordinates Education and Health Care Plans.
She also has a whole school responsibility for Children In Our Care and is the lead on the Leading Parent Partnership Award and the Rights Respecting Schools Award initiatives and is also our Prevent lead.
She is currently managing the 14-19 department of school with the relevant Assistant Heads.
Laura Holmes - Assistant Head Teacher 2 to13
Laura teaches some of our younger pupils, working in the 2-13 phase of school. Laura works with Vicki to lead and manage the phase, supporting colleagues and developing learning opportunities. Laura has a whole school responsibility for Communication and is our link liaison with the nurseries and Children’s Centres in BwD.
Jenny Nelson - Assistant Head Teacher School for Autism
Jenny teaches older children, working in the ARC, Autism Resource Centre, in school. Jenny works with Vicki to lead and manage the phase, supporting colleagues and developing opportunities, particularly offering advice and support to children with Autism educated in the main body of the school. Jenny has a whole school responsibility for Positive Behaviour Support.
Lois Talbot - Assistant Head Teacher 14 to19
Lois teaches some of our older pupils, working in the 14-19 phase of school. Lois works with Jenny, alongside Julie, to lead and manage the phase, supporting colleagues and developing learning opportunities. Lois has a whole school responsibility for Music and leads the secondary choir.
Julie Jones - Assistant Head Teacher Post 16
Julie teaches the oldest students, working in the 14-19 phase of school. Julie works with Jenny, alongside Lois, to lead and manage the phase, supporting colleagues and developing opportunities, particularly in the post 16 age group. They are both directly responsible for the specific, individual transition arrangements of our leavers. Julie has a whole school responsibility for outreach and inclusion activities
