This week saw the installation of a line from the COVID Reflections Poem that TG1 wrote earlier in the year. Today we joined others across the country in celebrating the lovely Captain Tom. His family asked for people to join in completing 100 of a different activity in celebration of what would be his 101st Birthday and in remembrance of his efforts in raising money for the NHS last year through his 100 laps of his garden. We’ve had a fun week, with some nice spring weather that has meant children have been able to spend more time outdoors - doing lots of playing as well as Easter egg hunts! Children have enjoyed sensory Easter Events this week in both areas of school and it has been a nice way to do some fun activities, like Egg hunts and games as we wind down to the holidays. They have had egg and spoon events, they have chosen paint and dripped it onto egg shapes before dragging a squeegee through the paint to make a marble effect. Full Return to School!

Full Return to School!

This week we have all been very happy to see a full return to school, with most of our children and staff being able to get back into Newfield! A few children and staff are still having to stay safe at home and we are working to support them until they can get back in - hopefully very soon. Staff are being tested twice each week, most have had vaccinations and they are all wearing PPE, so we are making it as safe as we can for our fantastic children and staff…
