Governor honoured by BwD Mayor

Congratulations to our Governor, Mr Abdul Piracha, who has been honoured for ‘the contribution he has made to the well being of generations of Blackburn families’. He was recently invited to the Town Hall and given a tour of the council chamber and civic areas by the Mayor, Audley councillor Salim Mulla. Mr Piracha has had a long and distinguished career in public health and social housing in Blackburn. He is the founder of the social housing provider Asiana Housing and was the first chairman of the association. Councillor Mulla, said: “I think it is important that the mayor offers thanks to people and groups in the town who have made a positive contribution to the borough. I was very pleased to welcome Mr Piracha.’ We are very lucky to have Mr Piracha on our board of governors and wish to send him all of our best wishes. We are so pleased that he has been officially honoured in this way - well done Mr Piracha!
