Last week, four of our staff have undertaken a whole week of training in safer people handling using Centaur Training and Development Ltd who are a specialist training company for special schools, NHS Trusts, residential settings and social services. The week consisted of written tests, practical assessments, assessments on writing moving and handling risk assessments and finally a presentation to assess teaching styles and content knowledge. All four staff have passed with flying colours and are now accredited to act as client handling Key Trainers in Handling People with Special Needs. However, the training doesn’t stop here it continues with further assessments after three and six months and a refresher after two years! Well done to them for passing the intensive and difficult training week!
