RRSA Level 2 Assessor Visit

Today, UNICEF assessors, Pat Peaker and Martin Russell visited school to carry out our Rights Respecting School Award level 2 visit. We will not know for a while whether we have been successful, as the report from the assessors goes to a panel to be decided, but they were extremely complimentary and positive about school. Martin asked me to pass on thanks from UNICEF to every member of school, children, staff, parents and governors, for the work we do to promote children’s rights. Pat, who has visited us before, had been looking forward to the return visit and continues to be very impressed by what she sees here. As I said in the staff meeting last week, making sure that children have a voice, have their rights respected and understand how important each and every one of them is as an individual is central to our work and is so important to everyone here - so thanks to everyone involved with Newfield! I will let you know as soon as we hear anything – hopefully before we break up for the summer. Go Newfield!!
