School Direct Trainee Visit

We ended this half term this morning, with 15 students on the School Direct program in BwD came to school for a tour, talk and a workshop in Disability Awareness. In the workshop, they explored what it is like to have a sensory impairment or a disability in a practical, fun but sensitive way and they all felt that they had got a lot out of this. They then had a tour of the school, visiting the Studio where they were amazed by the immersive environments that you can create there. They also visited the hydro pool and then went around the classes and met some of the children and staff. All the trainee teachers were very enthusiastic and found the morning session very interesting and informative - one of them said ‘What a truly amazing, wonderful school. the children all look so happy and loved. the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s just all round a brilliant setting. Thank you so much’. We are always happy to have visitors, if you would like to visit please contact us in school. We are all ready for a break, so happy half term and see you soon.
