Remembrance Assembly

Today we held a remembrance assembly to think about all those who have lost their lives in war and conflict. Children had made a range of artwork to decorate the hall, focusing on the theme of the poppy. Teacher Laura led the assembly, and pupils were able to come to an image of the Cenotaph to place their poppy artwork at the foot of it. Pupil Mushy read the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ and teacher Anna played ‘The Last Post’ on her trumpet. It was a very dignified, fitting service to remember those who have lost their lives to make the world a better place for us all.
