Early Years Parents' Afternoon

Early Years Parents' Afternoon

Class 1 and R1 have come together to share the lovely things they do in class. Lots of our parents came in to find out about the Early Years Curriculum and how we adapt this at Newfield to meet our children’s needs. We talked about how important communication, personal and social development and physical skills are not just the core areas of Early Years but also a priority throughout our school as we look at ensuring children’s voices are heard, that they can be as independent as they can and are supported to stay healthy. Parents then got to see their children in the studio or classroom exploring Autumn and learning through sensory play, messy and creative activities. All parents were keen to meet again and we are planning another session in the new year.
