Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight

Today marks the start of Fairtrade Fortnight, where we will be learning about Fairtrade and sampling some of the produce the farmers produce for a fair wage! We’ve decorate school, and there will be a Fairtrade cafe every morning with our catering team demonstrating how they have used the products to create some delicious treats - healthy smoothies and fairly-healthy banana cake! We are also running a Fair-trade tuck shop - so send or bring in some money for treats! Rest assured, because fairtrade farmers grow a lot of cacao, it might not all be healthy in school this fortnight - but it will be Fairtrade! Later in the week there will be games and art work around Fair-trade - so we’ve got lots going on - why don’t you get your family involved by looking out for items with the logo when you go shopping. If it has the logo above, it means that the workers who grow it get paid a decent wage and can afford to look after themselves and their families.
