Farewell Meryl!

Today our wonderful volunteer who looks after the library and toy library organised us for one final time before retiring for a well earned rest. Meryl was given flowers, a canvas containing all of the children’s finger prints and lots of cards from the children and staff to say ‘thank you’ for her many years helping us. Meryl has volunteered for 18 years - since her first retirement from her role as school nurse at Broadlands, Dame Evelyn Fox, Blackamoor and Schools which all merged in 2000 to become Newfield. Having originally started work in 1978 we think she has definitely put in enough years for a rest now! Meryl had lunch with friends in school before leaving us - she promises she will still come back to visit.
