Kung Hei Fat Choi!

It’s Chinese New Year - 2019 - Year of the Pig!

Today lots of children have been enjoying experiences involving the Chinese culture… they have been exploring sensory trays full of Chinese objects, finding objects in noodles, making Chinese lanterns and making artwork to illustrate the year of the pig.

Some classes have decorated biscuits, and others got to try some typical Chinese food including prawn crackers and fortune cookies - they all enjoyed eating the treats!

Another class tasted ginger cordial, mango and lychee juice and painted pigs with Chinese 5 spice paint - their classroom smells lovely!

We have enjoyed listening to some Chinese style music and have got some lovely pictures to show off our celebration of Chinse Year of the Pig!
