Time to Talk Day 2019 - Pupil Activities

This week is Children’s Mental Health Week and the theme this year is ‘Healthy Inside and Out’.

We have been helping the children to think about being healthy and how it is important to talk about how they are feeling – we have looked at lots of ways of doing activities to support that. We were all happy to get a sticker celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week!

Today, on ‘Time to Talk Day’ children have chosen from a range of sessions to take part in activities encouraging them to relax, think about their health and to think about, talk about and express their feelings.

The sessions on offer were Wheelchair Dancing, Time to Talk, Relaxation in the Studio, Dance Fitness, Games, Computing and Art – Poster making.

We’ve all had a really good day and are feeling positive about ourselves - we know it’s really good to talk, and here at Newfield we are lucky to have lots of people that we can talk to and who help each other!
