Every Wednesday pupils in the primary phase of main school go into groups to take part in enrichment activities.
This week pupils working with teacher Shannon made ‘healthy snacks’ of vegetable sticks, hummus and Tzatziki. They explored and tasted a range of ingredients including carrots, celery, cucumber, peppers, yoghurt, chick peas, mint leaves and lemon juice.
They practised using equipment such as peelers and knifes and washed and dried everything after the session.
Everyone really enjoyed preparing and tasting the food whilst learning practical skills.
