Easter Assembly

On our last day of term, all of Newfield school came together to share in our Easter assembly.

Primary performed a beautiful wheelchair dance rendition of ‘Spring Chicken’ and there was also a wonderful dance by our pupils developing their independent walking in the Foundation stage and Keystage 1.

Thanks again to our guest speaker Fiona Conwy from Christchurch Blackburn for her wonderful explanation of how eggs represent Easter.

We would like to wish everyone a very restful holiday and a Happy Easter to those celebrating - see you when we return from the holidays on Tuesday 23rd April!

Classes had made beautiful Easter Gardens and had also decorated eggs for a competition which was won by 3 children and a staff member who each received an Easter egg!

The event was also a perfect time to celebrate two of our staff for their long-service. They each received their long service award from Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority from head teacher Geoff.

Marilyn and Linsey both celebrated 20 years of service at the school.
