Previous blogs have shown how many industries are now becoming far more inclusive towards young people and adults with autism. This article shows the football club Brighton and how they have change the environment of a stadium to enable those with autism and sensory processing difficulties to come and watch the game. Many people with autism have hobbies and special interests, for many, football is one of these interests. Football stadiums are known for being very noisy and there are lots of people crowded into one space, this can be very difficult or not possible to cope with for a person with autism. Brighton have created an ‘inclusion room’ at their stadium so that more people are able to enjoy the game. Other teams have done this too such as Sunderland, Rangers and Middlesbrough.
