Harvest 2020

As I’m sure you’ll understand, we are not having a harvest assembly this year and cannot really collect food within school for the food bank as we have in previous years. This does not mean however that we cannot celebrate Harvest in our classes.

In the school for Autism, pupils in A11 have been looking at the artist Claes Oldenburg who created large sculptures of food. Pupils have joined in creating a sculpture of a large cheese, lettuce and tomato sandwich using recycled materials. The pupils really enjoyed making the sculpture.

Over in the SEND school, children in class 6 enjoyed exploring corn - smelling and feeling it, then popping it and making pictures. They also made apple print pictures and some lovely tree pictures, complete with floaty autumn leaves.
