Children's Mental Health Week 2023 - RRSA

We are once again taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week and today we held our RRSA steering group meeting. The theme this year is ‘Let’s Connect’ so we are connecting with lots of people!

We were joined by Mr Rothwell, a parent who has attended our RRSA for my years. Also, we also had Lisa from the MHST - Mental Health Support Team - who came to introduce herself to our students.

We talked about good mental health and wellbeing and things we do to ensure our own good mental health. We also discussed homelessness and what we could do to help and support the people who find themselves homeless.

We made posters to advertise the things we would like to collect in our shoeboxes for people who may need some support.

We enjoyed refreshments, chatted with friends, and discussed the activities planned this week for Children’s Mental Health Week.

Julia Dyer also attended to accept a cheque for £61.00 for our Love for Kenya charity. Julia said the children would really appreciate the gift. They will buy books or crops to provide food for the orphanage. Julia is visiting Kenya soon so will let us know what they will use the money for.
