KS3 Performance - Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

Today our pupils in KS3 put on a fantastic performance of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.

We were delighted to be joined by so many families who enjoyed a lively and exciting performance with Willy Wonka, Oompa-Lumpas, singing, dancing, a chocolate river.. all sorts of bubbles, flying chocolate, balloons and magic - and lots of audience participation!

It was absolutely magnificent and everyone was so impressed with the children, and the staff, putting their hearts and souls into their roles.

The audience really enjoyed it all, one commented ‘I don’t who enjoyed it more, the kids or the staff!’ - everyone worked so hard and made sure there was lots of energy.

We saw some lovely smiles on the faces of children who were using all of their communication, physical and creative skills to entertain us.

Afterwards guests were treated to hot chocolate to stick with the theme.

A big thank you to everyone who has been involved in putting the show together and supporting the event in any way, with special thanks to Assistant head Lois for spending countless hours writing a script, editing music, sorting the props and staging etc

It was a huge effort and another wonderful example of what our talented children and dedicated staff are capable of - well done Newfield Family!

This morning was amazing – seeing all the children having a go on their own and having fun. That is exactly what Newfield is all about – well done all!
