IQM Primary Penathlon 2023

Today 2 groups of primary pupils from Newfield attended and had a great time at the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Primary Penathlon at Bolton Arena.

All of the children engaged really well and had lots of fun competing in various sports games including parachute games, mini cricket basket ball and bowling.

The children and staff also had a tour of the Bolton football stadium and saw the grounds, the changing rooms and even got to sit in the managers office - check out the photo when we were in charge!

They each got a medal for taking part as as team leader, Abeera also got a fab T-shirt.

There were over 11 special schools represented at the Panathlon - as well as Dexter, the IQM bear - and everyone worked together and had an amazing day all round!

Well done to Team Newfield and thanks to IQM, Panathlon and The Bolton Arena for the amazing experience and opportunity!

Panathlon is a national charity which gives young people with disabilities and special educational needs every year the opportunity to take part in competitive sport, and they have lined up with IQM, for whom we are a Flagship school due to our inclusive opportunities and ethos.
