In our older classes, pupils from TG 3 and TG 4 go and volunteer at the allotment, working with plants and nature, towards their Duke of Edinburgh work. They have been decorating planters and planting seeds.
Meanwhile, some of our younger pupils from C12 have also been learning about plants and planting recently in school.
So far they have made broad bean window green houses, planted cress seeds in recycled orange juice cartons and planted sunflower seeds in pots.
They are excited to look after them and watch them grow!
It is great to see how our children’s learning develops over the years, and how the skills learned are transferred into adult life.
