Explorers Graduation 2026

Congratulations to all of our Explorer graduates and award winners from KS1 and lower KS2 today.

We were delighted to be joined by families, our special guests Councillor Julie Gunn (Executive Member for Children, Young People and Education Deputy Leader) and John Holt, BwD Service Lead - SEND, on a very hot afternoon to celebrate the achievements of our youngest members of the Newfield Family.

We were so proud to see the children demonstrate their independence, confidence and sheer delight at being at the centre of proceedings!

Dove and Pearl class put on a performance which included singing and signing, dancing and sharing with us their favourite things - they got everybody joining in with the dancing!

There was a video of memorable photos of the Explorer class of 2026, which was really lovely to see, and share with families.

A long assembly, on a hot afternoon takes lots of people pulling together, from all areas of school, and we wanted to thank the staff, not only for supporting children through this event, but also supporting our learners achieve across this whole year!

Everyone did so well and I couldn’t be happier and prouder of both my staff team and our wonderful pupils.

Katrina, Assistant Head of Explorers and KS1
