Our older students do lots of activities that help them to learn about independence, life skills, money and enterprise. We have lots of friends here at Newfield and some of our children having been having a fantastic time in the nice weather with their friends both in and out of school. We have begun a link with St Antony’s RC Primary, just down the road from us, and on Monday this was very successful when N joined in with a year 1 class. Lots of classes have been able to go out to venues in the community this week and have been able to enjoy activities and develop their independence, thanks to our HLTA Dawn organising and planning regular outreach activities. S4 went to home bargains and were very excited to be making choices, stretching to reach items they wanted and using their skills to pay at the till. On Monday we had our Eid Celebration and after this it’s been a very busy week so far at Newfield with lots going on. S1 have been doing some, research for their Literacy work this week.
